This course will prepare students to become a Clinical Laboratory Assistant or CLA. Students will learn the procedures for preparing patient specimens for examination and how to assist laboratory technicians under the direction of a laboratory technologist as they assist professionals who perform diagnostic specimen testing of body fluids in hospitals, private laboratories, medical offices, and research facilities.
